Rodent Control Services in Kenya
A rodent is typically known to be a small mammal with behavioural tendencies such as gnawing and nesting. In regards to pest control, the rodent group includes creatures such as rats, mice, rabbits, and squirrels. We can also deal with foxes, glis glis, and garden moles, which have similar characteristics to rodents.
Rodent traps: More professionally referred to as mechanical traps, or colloquially known as mouse traps, rodent traps are a great tool to use as they differ from species to species and can therefore be tailored to suit the nature of the call. They can be laid down wherever the hot spot of rodent activity is, leading to a fast and effective capture once the rodents catch a whiff of the bait.
Biological Control: This is a method done using the pathogens and predators mentioned above. Biological control is a method that centres around the safe release of these agents, which will then target the rodents and help to eliminate them. Biological control is best used as a management strategy over a longer period of time, rather than counterparts such as pesticides.
Poisoned Baiting: As is probably obvious, poisoned baiting is a rodent control method that uses poison bait, as covered above. It is a method that involves the strategic placement of poisoned bait around the sites that see the most vermin activity, and will only ever be used if the risk of harming other animals is as low as possible.
